Here is the exciting new line-up of movies for October!

We meet every Friday night at 7:30 in Paresky Theatre.

10/2 – Saved!

When Mary (Jena Malone), a devout senior at a Christian high school, accidentally gets pregnant, she starts to see her peers and her faith in a whole new way. This dark comedy/coming-of-age story premiered at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival and was produced by R.E.M. lead singer Michael Stipe. Mandy MooreMacaulay CulkinPatrick FugitEva AmurriMartin Donovan and Mary-Louise Parker co-star.

10/9 – Sunshine Cleaning

Financially on shaky ground yet determined to send her son to a top private school, Rose Lorkowski (Amy Adams) teams up with her unreliable sister, Norah (Emily Blunt), to start a new company that specializes in biohazard removal and crime scene cleanup. Tired of doing all of the work for other people, whether in her job cleaning homes or in her failed relationships, Rose is finally ready to use her entrepreneurial spirit to tidy up her own life.

Based on the book by Jhumpa Lahiri.

10/23 – The Rage in Placid Lake

Just out of prep school — where he was the target of tyrannical bullies — misfit teen Placid Lake (Ben Lee) yearns to be a regular Joe. When a mishap lands Placid in a body cast for months, he formulates a plan to reinvent himself by donning a suit and taking a job as a drone at an insurance agency. But he soon discovers that conformity isn’t what it’s cracked up to be in this offbeat Aussie comedy from rookie director Tony McNamara.

10/30 – The Rocky Horror Picture Show

The cult classic that’s perfect for Halloween.
